ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm James but when I'm online or playing games I go by the name Jimmles.
I'm a Melbourne-based UX/UI Designer with a background in UX Design, digital & web design and some UX Research too. I have even done a short stint managing a bar but that's a long story.
For over a decade I have been involved in digital design, UI design and UX design, working for with Aussie tech companies such as Carsales and SEEK.
In 2020 I decided to follow my passion and made the jump to into the game-dev industry, working on games UX and UI with the legends at Hipster Whale through to 2025.
Personally, I am a big ol' nerd with a great wife and a silly little dog.
I love games new and old, I am also a fighting game tragic and tabletop/D&D nerd as well. I enjoy building Gunpla, I dabble in brewing beer, and I have a stack of unpainted minis on my shelf that I swear I will get to soon.
I also co-created and ran the Lame Game Marathon from 2010 to 2015, a charity fundraising stream where we would play terrible videogames for 24 hours straight, raising money for UNHCR and UNICEF.
That was a while ago now but it is still something I look back on with pride at how something so small could become a five year endeavor raising over $35,000 for charity.
